The iPhone would think located at distant locations such as Jakarta or Manila, while the user just in Netherlands. Because some locations are located in another time zone, the time of the iPhone set wrong. On the iPhone 4SApple support forum complaining especially-owners about the problems.

On 14 december the problem was first found on the forum. Since then, several users reported against the same problem to run. There is a large number of locations that incorrectly indicated for the iPhone: among other things, Manila, Jakarta, Shanghai, Egypt, and Islamabad already came over Dharka.

Where the problem is caused is not yet clear: on Twitter go different stories that the location features of the iPhone itself who suffer from problems. So would some Foursquare iPhone owners show locations in China.
